National Marine Week 2025 will be from July 27 to August 11. It's a week-long celebration of the UK's marine life and the relationship people have with the sea.

What to do

• Participate in local events, such as snorkeling, rockpool safaris, or clifftop picnics
• Learn about the impact of pollution on marine life and the environment
• Reduce your plastic use and pick up litter
• Conserve water to reduce excess runoff and wastewater
• Choose nontoxic chemicals and dispose of them properly
• Reduce waste by cutting down on what you throw away
