The month is an opportunity to raise awareness of bowel cancer, its symptoms, and the importance of getting tested. Bowel cancer is one of the most common cancers in the UK, and almost 9 out of 10 people diagnosed are over 60. However, if caught early, there is a greater than 90% chance of a cure.
