The week-long celebration will champion the return of youth sport and its power to bring people back together.

National School Sports Week is a week-long event that encourages children to be more active and promotes the importance of physical education and sport at school. The event is run by the Youth Sport Trust, a children's charity.

The 2025 theme is "play for fun, play for 60". The goal is to encourage children to be active for the Chief Medical Officers' recommended minimum of 60 minutes a day. This includes 30 minutes of activity at school and 30 minutes outside of school.
