Steph is a broadcast and digital media strategy specialist. Steph held senior roles at Sky Sports, DAZN and BBC Sport and worked with a number of brands including Puma, Adidas, Gatorade and Sony.
During 3 years in post, she oversaw output from the FIFA Women’s World Cup in 2019, acquisition of FA Women’s Super League, the Tokyo Olympics -the most equitable Games ever with 49% of competitors female - and UEFA Women’s EURO 2022 all of which saw game-changing, record-breaking audiences. In addition, England’s UEFA Men’s EURO Final ’21 saw the biggest linear TV audience since 1997 of over 30M.
Steph’s passion is to drive equity in the industry, raise the profile and establish women’s sport as its own economic driver. It’s important to ensure increased media coverage to create positive role models and challenge gender stereotypes and Steph has worked with organisations from FIFA to the UN, Serie A and Premier League football clubs, federations to Tech. She is passionate about creating an industry open to all, to increase representation of underrepresented groups, create diversity of thought and perspective, avoid ‘groupthink’, to innovate and ensure people of all backgrounds have equal opportunity to be part of a brilliant industry. Steph is passionate about supporting and mentoring women and other under-represented groups in sport. She speaks regularly in schools and industry events about the importance of sports participation and the career opportunities in the sports industry for all. Steph is part of the Women’s Sports Collective and sits on the Women in Sport Committee Chaired by the Minister for Sport.
