Paddling Through the Pain: Dave’s 30-Day Marathon Row to Make a Difference!
Dave Holby-Wolinski, founder of Includability, is taking on an incredible challenge: rowing a marathon every day for 30 days straight! Using a rowing machine (thankfully, no lakes involved!), Dave is raising funds for two important causes: his local school and cancer research. Each day, he’ll be rowing outside the school gates, pushing his limits to make a difference.

30 Days, 30 Marathons

Alright, here’s the scoop: Dave Holby-Wolinski, our very own founder at Includability – Lead with Purpose, Inspire with Impact – is about to take on something absolutely wild (but very Dave): rowing a marathon every single day for 30 days straight.
Yep, 30 marathons. And just to clarify – it’s not on water (phew!), but on a rowing machine! As much as we love Dave, we’re all in agreement that rowing across a lake every day would be a bit of a stretch.
But why, you ask? What would make someone take on such an insane challenge? Well, it’s simple. Dave’s got a big heart and an even bigger sense of purpose. He’s rowing for a cause – two causes, actually.
Every day for the next 30 days, you’ll find Dave rowing outside the gates of his local school. He’s doing this to raise funds for the school and for cancer research, two causes that are close to his heart. The school needs extra resources to enhance the learning experience for students, and cancer research is something that has touched both Dave’s life and the Includability team in more ways than one.
Why Is Dave Doing This?
It’s all about making a difference. As you might already know, Dave has always been passionate about supporting his community. Whether it’s through Includability’s work on diversity and inclusion or his own personal fundraising efforts, Dave is committed to leaving a positive impact. This time, he's combining his love for rowing with a drive to support two fantastic causes.
The school needs help, and cancer research is something that affects far too many of us. Dave’s hoping to raise thousands of pounds to help make a real difference in both of these areas. And because Dave’s the type of guy to take on the biggest challenge, he’s decided that rowing a marathon every day for a month is the way to go.
Big? Yes. Bold? Absolutely. But that’s Dave – always going big for a great cause.
But Don’t Think It’s All Fun and Games…
Let’s be real here – rowing a marathon every day for 30 days is no easy feat. As his work buddy at Includability, I can tell you this is serious business. If anyone can do it, it’s Dave. Sure, he’s a bit mad (in the best way), but the guy’s a 21-time world record holder. He’s got the form, and when he sets his mind to something, there’s no stopping him.
When Dave told me about the challenge, here’s what I said:
"You're flipping mad, but you have form, so go and get the job done and deliver. As long as you turn up to work every day, I suppose it’s ok." (Joking, of course!)
But I know Dave – and I know he’s not going to back down. Now, he just needs your support.
How You Can Help Dave’s Marathon Row
Here’s the bit where you come in. Dave’s fundraising page is up and running, and every little bit helps. Whether you can donate £5, £50, or anywhere in between, it’s all going to great causes. Every penny will make a real difference for his local school and cancer research. You can donate here: Dave’s Donation Page.
Don’t just watch from the sidelines – cheer him on, donate if you can, and help him hit those fundraising goals! This challenge isn’t just about breaking a personal record – it’s about supporting causes that really matter.
