JEDI INCLUSION TOOLKIT
Justice, Equity, Diversity and Inclusion, and B Corp
Get your team and leaders working from the same picture of inclusion. A free module that explains what Justice, Equity, Diversity and Inclusion ask of an employer and how B Corp V2 measures it.
What is in the JEDI, EDI and B Corp introduction?
Justice, Equity, Diversity and Inclusion, and B Corp is a free JEDI and EDI training module in the JEDI Inclusion Toolkit. It explains what each of the four words asks of an employer, how equity differs from equality, how JEDI compares with diversity and inclusion, and how the B Corp JEDI Impact Topic measures it, with slide decks to share with your team or board.
Who it's for
- Anyone starting out with inclusion work, or new to B Lab Standards V2
- HR, People and Culture leads who need a shared language for their team
- Leaders, boards and B Corp certification leads who want the whole picture first
Why does inclusion work get muddled?
Justice, equity, diversity and inclusion get used as if they mean the same thing, and they do not. Equality and equity get swapped. Diversity gets measured, but inclusion rarely does. Teams end up talking past each other before the work has even started.
Without a shared picture, leaders and the people doing the work pull in different directions, and it is hard to choose what to do first.

Support
You can email us with questions as you work through any module, and you can book a call with the team to talk through how to get the most from the toolkit. If there's a template, tool or feature you'd like to see added, tell us. We build the toolkit around what the people using it need.
Questions we get asked
What does JEDI stand for?
Justice, Equity, Diversity and Inclusion. It looks at who gets in, who gets on and whose voice shapes decisions at work.
Is JEDI the same as EDI or diversity and inclusion?
They share the same aim. JEDI adds justice, which looks at the systems and barriers behind unfair outcomes. It is also the term B Lab uses in the B Corp standards.
What is the difference between equity and equality?
Equality gives everyone the same. Equity gives people what they need to reach the same outcome, which sometimes means removing a barrier only some people face.
What is the JEDI Impact Topic?
The part of B Lab Standards V2 that covers Justice, Equity, Diversity and Inclusion. JEDI1 covers workforce data, and JEDI2 offers nineteen actions across three sets.
Is this module really free?
Yes. It is one of four free modules in the JEDI Inclusion Toolkit. Create an account on the Includability Academy and start straight away.
What support do we get?
You can email us with questions as you work through the module, and book a call with James and Dave to talk through getting the most from the toolkit.
Is this module a certification?
No. Includability does not assess, certify, accredit or verify anything. B Lab assesses and certifies B Corps. The module helps you do the work and gather the evidence.
Not sure which modules you need?
A Cultural Roadmap with a JEDI Gap Analysis shows you, so you start where your gaps are.
The Roadmap shows the gaps. The toolkit closes them and produces your evidence.
